Multiple Teams · Lady Lions Open With Sweep


coachrobBrooks Lady Lions Volleyball team started off the season with a win playing Lauderdale County High School. Brooks won the first set 25-17 and the second set was another win with a score of 25-15. Halee Thomas had a spectacular lead with 25 digs. Darby Graham followed with 10 digs. Hitter Paige Davis contributed 6 points with 6 kills.

 

Following the team’s win against LCHS, the Lady Lions started off the game against Rogers rocky but ended up on top with a 2-0 win, paced by their three seniors. Both of the sets had a score of 25-16. In the first set Darby Graham led the team with 3 aces and had 3 digs. Another senior, Halee Thomas, led the Lady Lions with 7 digs and ended up having 1 ace. Senior Lauren Williams had a great night by leading the team with 4 kills, 4 digs, and 1 ace in the first set. Junior Tori Wilsdorf led the team with 4 assists.

 

In the second set, hitter and passer Lauren Williams finished strong with 10 digs, 3 kills, and 1 assist. Freshman Jordan Tidwell finished the set with 1 kill, 1 assist, and 1 dig. Paige Davis ended with 1 kill and 1 dig. Libero Halee Thomas finished a tremendous game with 7 digs, 2 aces, and 1 assist.
The Brooks Lady Lions  will play in the Border Wars tournament in Lawrence County, Tennessee on August 26 starting at 6 pm.
