Lions Come up Short on Senior Night

The Brooks Lions tried to defend their home court on Senior Night against the Central Wildcats on Monday, January 30th. The Lions fell to the Wildcats 63-52. Blake Bange was the leading offensive player with 15 points. Ben Hamner had 7 rebounds. The area tournament starts February 7, with the Lions opening against East Limestone.

Lady Lions Fall to Wildcats

The Brooks Lady Lions fell short to Central High School Monday night (35-47). Caroline McAdams and Courtney Hale were the game’s leading scorers with 7 points each. The Lady Lions return back to action Thursday, February 2nd.

Fowler Takes Over as Lions Baseball Coach

When baseball practice for the 2017 season starts January 30, the Brooks Lions will be under the leadership of first-year Head Coach Jacob Fowler.  Fowler was named Head Baseball Coach at Brooks High School in September for the 2017 season and replaces Todd Nelms, who resigned after his second stint as the Lions’ head coach.

The East Limestone Indians beat the Brooks Lady Lions in Friday night’s area game. The Indians had control of the game all the way to the end, finishing the game with the score 58-42.

The Lady Lions traveled to Russellville last night in hope of a victory. They fell short with a loss to the Golden Tigers 36-20. The Lady Lions travel to East Limestone Friday, January 13 to face the Lady Indians.
